The garden was designed and constructed, with all plants, equipment and services donated, by the horticultural industries of Melbourne. Geoff Connellan (OX 1964), a water management consultant, coordinated the supply and installation of the irrigation system for the garden. During the dedication ceremony, on 24 April 2021, the families expressed their gratitude and appreciation for a memorial that will continue to grow and honour the lives of the four police.
